bad flip but boom is not in the hospital from what i have been told
just got told they took boom to hospital for test and observation his helmet was cracked and packed full of mud hope he is ok

The night's action was marred by a grinding crash during hot laps involving Rick 'Boom' Briggs of Bear Lake, Pa. His car dug into the track surface when he slid into turn three for the first time, sending him into a wild series of flips.
Briggs, who won the 2004 WoO LMS Crew Chief of the Year Award when he worked for Chub Frank, was shaken up by the rough ride. He climbed from the cockpit with some assistance from safety workers and walked back to his trailer, but he was later transported to a local hospital and released several hours later after tests revealed no serious injuries.

We were there in Cornwall with him last nite... Car is totalled.... I missed the flip, trying to get some videos of it from a group called Quebec dirt...
they do interviews and stuff like that with drivers, so if I get something, I'll post it here.

Just got off the phone with Boom, he has a severe concussion, sore, don't remeber 4-5 hours from last night, sleep deprived but ok. He was told the new
chassis would have the new type seat whether he wanted it or not. See ya at the shop Boom...

well boom and crew just got home not to long ago boom is doing good sore and tired but is himself. doctors said it was a severe concussion so he really
shouldnt even think about racin this week but he seems to think he is. anyway the car is a total loss but the guys a rocket deserve alot of credit the chassis
did it's job and protected boom i couldnt even find a cracked weld. compared to some other cars ive seen he is just lucky he drives a rocket! take it easy
boom glad your ok nobody slept much in lottsville last night i know that for sure!!!!

According to Boom today he was going to be at Lernerville Driving Chub's "Old Faithful" but we'll see he wasn't home yet when he told
me that. There's a few people in Bear Lake that might have a say just how soon he gets back in a race car and Chub's not one of them.
His new Simpson Helmet is now ordered today on rush status!
He even asked me if his shocks had any warranty I told him that once they leave the ground the warranty expires.
